One of the places we considered during our family reunion planning was East Canyon Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah. Set in a canyon between Salt Lake and Park City, the resort had everything we wanted. It has all sorts of facilities available for recreation: pools, volleyball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, children's playground, hiking trails, horseshoe pit, and a fish pond.
Besides the beautiful riverside location near a reservoir for boating, it also has a variety of accommodation choices. There are two bedroom condos ($125), RV sites, and tent sites. In addition, there are pavilions with barbecue facilities, and a restaurant on site. East Canyon Resort
